It’s more than photos, it’s an Experience.

Each session commences with an initial consultation to discuss your goals for the shoot and get to know one another.
I approach every shoot as a collaborative endeavor with my clients, and this approach guarantees a cherished and successful final product. Establishing moodboards plays a crucial role in defining the tone and style of the shoot.
For heavily styled and themed shoots, I do prefer follow up meetings and access to location prior.

The day of the shoot is an exciting moment for all!
Each session allocates extra time to ensure a relaxed and stress-free experience. This additional time is dedicated to scouting optimal lighting locations, offering outfit consultations, assisting with grooming, capturing BTS footage, and ensuring both the horse and handler are comfortable with the gear and equipment.
Once the shoot begins, time tends to fly by, and breaks are essential for both horses and humans. That's why a 2 hour session includes only 30 minutes of actual shooting for the intended portraits, and a 4 hour session includes one-hours of shoot time, etc. Each session receives many candids in addition to the portraits.

Approximately 4 weeks after your session you will receive a link to your gallery. Typically, sneak peek images are shared on social media before the full gallery is completed, and you can freely share these images at no additional cost.
If you have black background images in your gallery there will be edited proofs that are not final. These proofs are watermarked with instructions. This process ensures that the final image showcases your horse as you know them.
Once your gallery is ready, you may purchase the final images as downloads or printed products. Galleries will be posted for six months and then will be archived.

The session fee covers the time and cost of planning and executing of the photo shoot. As well as the editing of images for the final client gallery.
-
Final artwork is not included in session fee but digital files and printed products are available for purchase through my online store.
Typically, TFE will share sneak peeks from our shoots on social media and these shares are free for our clients to share across their platforms.
-
We keep our session fees low so that we are able to accommodate the owners who have one horse to the trainers who have a dozen!
If you have more than three horses that you would like photographed we offer discounted session rates. Each discount is offered after the initial consultation to ensure each package is curated based on the client’s needs.

It’s important to know that all horses are difficult in some way or another. Whether they’re SO bombproof that nothing phases them to get their attention or they’re scared of everything.
This is why it is so important to get to know each client before a shoot and spend the time not just behind the camera on the day of the shoot. I practice natural horsemanship therefore patience and understanding is crucial when working with horses.
If we have to take a ton of breaks, so be it. There are going to be stunning moments that are captured that will be how the shoot is remembered for a lifetime.
-
It all depends on the shoot you’re looking for. During the initial consultation, we will discuss the details of your goals and objectives.
It is always a good plan though to have your horse well-groomed for any of our sessions.
-
It is always smart to have more than just the photographer and handler around for an equine shoot, especially for locations that are not normal for your horse. If you are unable to provide someone to help assist you with your horse, we are able to provide a helper for an additional cost.

I can! But it is not something I offer regularly. Typically it works best when a stable would like to host a mini-session over a weekend. If this is something you’re interested in please email us and we can set something up!
